Ben & Jerry’s embraces the chill 

Ben & Jerry’s, the UK and Ireland’s number one luxury ice cream brand**, is introducing two festive flavours for the winter season – Minter Wonderland and Joy to the Swirled – available to retailers now. Minter Wonderland brings the much requested flavour of mint chocolate chip to fans, whilst Joy to the Swirled offers swirling caramel and chocolate fudge in Fairtrade vanilla ice cream, the most popular ice cream flavour in the UK and Ireland***. Both have an RRP* of €5.35 for 500ml tubs.

Oakland International and High Pressure Tolling join forces

Warehousing and distribution expert, Oakland International, has joined forces with HPP Tolling, Ireland’s first high pressure processing (HPP) specialist, to provide manufacturers and producers with a complete food product pasteurisation, packaging, storage and distribution service designed specifically with end retailers in mind. HPP Tolling’s high-pressure processing offers food producers flexibility to extend product shelf-life by eliminating the need to freeze.

The 10thAnnual Coca-Cola Designated Driver Campaign is launched

Coca-Cola Hellenic Ireland has announced details of the tenth annual Designated Driver campaign. The company has invested €6m in the award-winning campaign over the past decade to help promote road safety during the Christmas period. By working closely with the licensed trade, the company offers the designated driver in a group the opportunity to avail of free bottled water, juice and soft drinks.

Buy a burrito and make a wish!

On Friday 5 December, Boojum is supporting Make-A-WishIreland by donating all food sales directly to the charity. On this day, buying a meal at the Mexican restaurant on Kevin Street Lower or Millennium Walkway will ensure you help make a child’s wish come true this Christmas! Make-A-Wish makes wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. Money from all food items purchased between 11.30am and 9pm will be directly donated.

Kilmeaden launches packaging redesign

Kilmeaden, the number one branded block in Ireland is launching fresh new look packaging across the entire range. The new evolved design with better shelf stand-out focuses on the grader who plays an integral role in the production of Kilmeaden cheese. In addition to the redesign, the Kilmeaden Grated range will undergo a pack format change to a reclosable bag. The redesign will be supported by a fully integrated marketing campaign comprising of TV, in-store sampling activation and a digital support programme to year end and in to 2015.

PostPoint excels with Christmas offering

Coca-Cola to launch new milk in US

The ad campaign for Fairlife milk launching in the USCoca-Cola is set to launch its own brand of premium milk – which will cost twice as much as regular milk, the Irish Examiner reports. Fairlife will go on sale in the US this December. Coca-Cola promises that it will be more nutritious than regular milk with 50% more protein and calcium and 30% less sugar than regular milk, with no lactose. There are no plans as yet to launch Fairlife outside the US.
