Schweppes hosts the ‘Ultimate Mixer Sessions’ at The Big Grill

Schweppes took its #UltimateMixer Sessions to The Big Grill, which returned for its sixth year from 15 – 18 August at Herbert Park in Dublin, where foodie festival goers celebrated the art of all kinds of barbecuing, grilling and smoking. The Schweppes #UltimateMixer Sessions stage hosted fizzing musical blends, while its mixologists stirred up daring cocktail combinations. Bands and DJs such as Claire Beck, DJ BBQ, Handsome Paddy, Electric Dream and Caz9 took to the Schweppes stage to play to hordes of fun-loving foodies over the stretched out summer evenings.

“Bee” friendly to Irish Bees with Deliveroo’s Honeybee Survival Kits

To mark National Honeybee Day on Saturday 17 August, Deliveroo has made it easier to help Irish bees by providing Honeybee Survival Kits with meal orders from participating restaurants. Deliveroo customers who ordered over the weekend from Nutbutter in Dublin, Rocket Man in Cork or Mixgreens in Galway received a free kit with every Deliveroo order. The kits include seed balls containing a mix of bee-friendly wildflowers like poppies and buttercups, along with directions for use and a handy set of tips and facts for protecting Irish bees.

Taste the Island initiative launched by Failte Ireland

Taste the Island, a 12 week celebration of Ireland’s seasonal ingredients, adventurous tastes and bold experiences will take place this September, October and November. Transforming Ireland into a series of food and drink experiences and encouraging people to pull up a seat and join Ireland’s table, the line-up will feature over 600 unique food trails, festivals and dining experiences, taking place across the nation and developed by world-renowned Irish chefs, producers and craftspeople. Gillette celebrates 50 years of football partnerships

Gillette has announced a global licensing partnership with UEFA, that will see the brand become the official ‘Shaving Partner’ of the UEFA Champions League. The partnership marks half a century since Gillette’s first official football collaboration back in 1970, and is the company’s first licensing agreement with UEFA in respect of the UEFA Champions League, known as the pinnacle of club football worldwide. The brand simultaneously reinforced its commitment to developing and providing world class male grooming products to the millions of men who follow it worldwide.

Nestlé’s Munchies launch new on-trend flavour in Ireland

Nestlé has introduced a new delicious on-trend flavour to its much-loved Munchies brand in Ireland this summer. Available in 101g sharing bags, new Munchies Chocolate Fudge Brownie is the first new Munchies product since 1996. Maria McKenna, marketing manager for Nestlé Ireland said the brand is thrilled to bring this new flavour to the Munchies family. “Our teams in York and Fawdon have worked tirelessly over the last six months to bring these new flavours to our loyal Munchies fans,” McKenna said. “It’s a real delight to see (and taste) the results of our hard work!”
