T

he latest Pepsi Max campaign ‘Max It 4 Ireland!’ which combines the brand’s status as official soft drinks partner of the FAI with a new advertising and promotional campaign around footvolley, was kicked off with the help of Ireland’s soccer elite.

The launch, which featured a Pepsi Max special footvolley session attended by Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni and Irish international soccer players Stephen Hunt and Kevin Doyle, took place at the Ballykisteen Hotel in Limerick during a break from training for the Ireland versus Australia friendly.

Footvolley is a mixture of soccer and beach volleyball and has become a global sporting craze. The famous Irish participants were in good company as Pepsi Max’s latest footvolley commercial (now on air) features Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, Lionel Messi, Fernando Torres and Kaka playing the sport.

Pepsi Max has invested heavily in the advertising campaign and is also supporting the brand below the line with promotions and PR. Consumers can win a great range of prizes, including X-Boxes and tickets for a winner and three friends to one of the October qualifiers, by testing out their footvolley skills online at www.pepsimax.ie.
