You’re not seeing things, it is a giant head firing cocoa pods at innocent Ghanaians. Cadbury’s latest and wackiest campaign celebrates its iconic Dairy Milk chocolate becoming Fairtrade certified, and hit television screens in mid September on TV3 to coincide with the launch of X-Factor.

The ad features a track (‘Zingolo’) by Ghana’s own music superstar, Tinny, and was shot on location in the African country to include its cocoa farmers and their local communities in the campaign. Head of marketing Greta Hammel explained that the commercial aims to “bring a smile to people’s faces” by celebrating the Fairtrade certification “in a special and unique way.”

Following on from the exceptional success of Gorilla, Airport Trucks and Eyebrows – which have received a combined total of 23 million views online – Cadbury hopes to drive the latest campaign on the net also, and ‘Zingolo’ is currently available on iTunes.
