Spar continues 60th anniversary celebrations with a special hike Under the Trees

Spar is offering 60 lucky shoppers the opportunity to participate in its special 60th anniversary celebratory ‘Hike Life Under the Tree’ with hiking enthusiast, social media content creator and founder of ‘The Hike Life’, Roz Purcell.

As part of Spar’s year-long series of events to the seminal anniversary, the leading convenience retailer will invite the lucky winners to enjoy a sunrise hike in the Dublin Mountains on Sunday. 5 November.

To be in with a chance to win one of the coveted 60 spots, Spar shoppers need to simply visit @thehikelife Instagram page and comment on the competition post. The campaign is also supported in Spar stores nationwide via digital screens with QR codes to direct shoppers to the point of entry.

Speaking at the launch of the consumer competition, Spar sales director Colin Donnelly said: “We are delighted to continue our 60^th anniversary celebrations at Spar by organising this special event that will afford the winners a wonderful opportunity to get out in nature and enjoy our beautiful countryside.

“The hike is the final part in our year-long Team Tree campaign which saw us plant 20,000 native Irish trees across the country in 2023 and follows closely after Spar National Tree Day that took place in nationwide primary schools just last month,” Donnelly added.

The competition closes at 12 noon on Friday, 27 October with the 60 lucky winners announced on the @thehikelife Instagram page.
