Love Irish Food members Harry’s Nut Butter and Sugar Plum Sweetery have been announced as the winners of the second annual ‘Taste of TV’ fund, a collaboration between Sky Media and Love Irish Food.

The fund is designed to ‘help Irish food and drink brands grow through the power of television advertising’.

As this year’s winners, both brands will each receive a prize package worth €50,000, including the production of a professionally produced TV commercial and a fully funded TV advertising campaign.

Audience targeting capabilities

Launching later this year, each brand’s campaign will leverage Sky Media’s advanced audience targeting capabilities, ensuring Harry’s Nut Butter and Sugar Plum Sweetery reach their respective relevant audiences across Ireland, helping to build brand awareness and accelerate business growth.

AJ Crinion, head of Business Development, Sky Media said: “The response to this year’s ‘Taste of TV’ fund was exceptional, highlighting the creativity and ambition that exists across Ireland’s food and drink industry. After the success of last year’s launch, we were delighted to expand the fund this year to support two deserving winners.

“Harry’s Nut Butter and Sugar Plum Sweetery are both fantastic examples of innovative Irish brands with compelling stories to tell, and we look forward to helping them connect with audiences across Ireland through the power of television.”

About Harry’s Nut Butter

Harry’s Nut Butter was born in The Fumbally, where founder Harry first created the original recipe while working as a chef.

Today, the brand offers a range of premium nut butters made with simple, high-quality ingredients from classic peanut butter to paprika-flavoured and extra hot variants.

All products are plant-based, gluten-free and crafted without unnecessary additives, staying true to the brand’s commitment to great taste and wholesome food.

Harry Colley, founder of Harry’s Nut Butter, said: “It was never hard to get people to love the product. The hard part was getting them to know about us and find us.

“That’s exactly what winning the Taste of TV fund changes, the national reach we couldn’t buy on our own. Huge thanks to Sky Media and Love Irish Food for backing us on this next step.”

About Sugar Plum Sweeter

Founded in 2022, Sugar Plum Sweetery is the latest venture from Denise and David, who established their restaurant Wholesome Kitchen in Mullingar in 2019.

From its Chocolate Factory in Mullingar, the team handmakes Sugar Plum’s entire chocolate collection, creating bold, indulgent treats packed with flavour and personality.

From the brand’s signature filled chocolate bars to seasonal favourites, the range is exciting, irresistible and designed to stand out. Combining handmade chocolate with creative flavours and eye-catching products, Sugar Plum Sweetery is bringing a fresh, creative energy to the chocolate world.

Denise Buckley, co-founder of Sugar Plum Sweetery, said: “We are incredibly proud to be chosen as a winner of this year’s ‘Taste of TV’ fund.

“Since launching Sugar Plum Sweetery in 2022, we’ve worked hard to create award winning products and a brand built around bold flavours, creativity and doing chocolate differently, and this opportunity will allow us to share that story with audiences across Ireland.

“The support from Sky Media and Love Irish Food will give us a fantastic platform to take the next step in our growth.”

Access to opportunities

Conor Kilduff, executive director, Love Irish Food noted that the ‘Taste of TV’ is about giving Irish food and drink businesses access to opportunities that can genuinely transform their growth.

“Harry’s Nut Butter and Sugar Plum Sweetery are outstanding examples of the innovation, quality and entrepreneurial spirit that exists across our membership,” he said.

“We’re proud to partner with Sky Media once again, and particularly pleased that this year’s fund has expanded to support two deserving Irish brands.”
