Ornua, Ireland’s leading dairy co-operative and proud owner of Kerrygold, has opened applications for its 2027 graduate programme, offering positions across corporate procurement, IT, human resources, internal audit, sales, quality, communications and operations.

The two-year programme will see successful applicants join the dairy co-operative in September 2027, with opportunities to gain experience across different functions and markets.

Graduate development

The programme includes structured position rotations, a comprehensive induction and learning modules focused on teamwork, self-awareness, leadership and communication.

Graduates will also receive mentorship from senior leaders and support from current and former programme participants.

Ornua CEO – Conor Galvin said the programme has been running in its current form for more than a decade and forms an important part of the company’s talent development strategy.

“This programme has been a hugely successful and vibrant part of our emerging talent development strategy, providing newly qualified graduates the opportunity to create their Ornua story by building rewarding careers, learning from experienced colleagues and honing the skills to make a real impact in our business,” Galvin said.

He added that the programme provides Ornua with a platform to connect with emerging talent and develop future leaders as the business continues to grow.

Career opportunities

Previous graduates have gone on to take up roles across Ornua’s international operations.

Ciarán Caffrey, now inventory manager with Ornua Foods Americas, joined the business through the graduate programme and has subsequently worked across Europe, the Middle East and North America.

“The Ornua graduate programme opened the door to opportunities I never imagined when I joined,” Caffrey said.

He added: “Through international assignments, exposure to different teams and functions, and the chance to take on new challenges, I’ve developed both personally and professionally.”

Jane Tuohy joined Ornua through the graduate programme in 2019 and is now a key account manager in Dublin, following roles across procurement and commercial functions.

“The biggest impact on my development has been the support of colleagues across the business,” Tuohy said.

She added: “Their guidance, along with the opportunity to take on new challenges, has encouraged me to grow my career with Ornua.”

Applications close

Applications for Ornua’s 2027 graduate programme close on Friday, 23 October 2026, with successful candidates taking up their positions in September 2027.

Further information on the programme is available from Ornua.
