Putting food in the frame

An appetite for video as a digital marketing tool has fuelled a surge in business for Holywood, Co. Down-based Morrow Communications, with the local food industry driving growth. Over the past three months alone, Morrow’s production team has created video content for over 30 local food companies and with 2016 being designated Year of Food, the trend looks set to continue. Summer Solstice sun sets on successful 21st Listowel Food Fair

Yesterday (21 June) a beautiful Summer Solstice Sun set on the longest day of the year and the last day of the 2015 Listowel Food Fair. The organisers of Ireland’s longest running food festival have described the four day culinary extravaganza as a triumph and hailed the decision to move the festival from its usual November slot as the right one for 2015. The June date meant that more outdoor events could be added to the programme and these were well received.

Richmond Marketing extends distribution deal with Miller brands

Miller Brands and Richmond Marketing have announced the continuation of their partnership with the signing of a new multi-year distribution agreement. Richmond Marketing MD Barry Connolly said: “We are delighted to extend our successful relationship with Miller Brands. Their exciting portfolio includes Miller Genuine Draft, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Pilsner Urquell, Kozel, and St Stefanus and allows choice for both customers and consumers in the everyday premium and world beer categories.”

FMI Wins Champion Sales Team at Irish Sales Champion Awards 2015

FMI is delighted to have been named the winner of the Champion Sales Team B2C at the Irish Sales Champion Awards 2015 in partnership with its client Electric Ireland. The fifth Annual Irish Sales Champion Awards, which was held in the Guinness Storehouse on 11 June, celebrates the competitive spirit, ingenuity and tenacity of Irish sales personnel.  The award for Champion Sales Team was well deserved by Laurence Flynn and his team.

Spices turn to gold at 21st Listowel Food Fair

Spice Devil’s Kari Tropical spice mix has been awarded the Gold Medal at the Best Emerging Artisan Food Product Awards. The awards, which are in their eighth year, are hosted by the Listowel Food Fair in Co Kerry. Commenting on the win, founder Shakeel Jeeroburkan said: “Winning the gold medal differentiates the Kari Tropical spice mix from the norm and demonstrates its outstanding quality and value.”

Award-winning global wine producer Accolade Wines added to C&C Gleeson portfolio

C&C Gleeson has expanded its wine portfolio, and will become the exclusive distributor of Accolade Wines and fusions in the Republic of Ireland from 1 July 2015. Accolade Wines is one of the world’s leading providers of New World premium, commercial and value wines. The announcement means that C&C Gleeson is now managing three of the top five wine brands in Ireland, as Australian wine Hardys, joins its existing portfolio which includes Santa Rita and Blossom Hill.
