Fresh new venue revealed for IFEX 2016

Fresh Montgomery, organisers of IFEX, have announced that Northern Ireland’s largest food and hospitality expo, IFEX 2016 will take place at the new Titanic Exhibition Centre in Belfast next March (8-10). IFEX attracts around 5,000 plus visitors and over 100 exhibitors, and is one of the longest-running trade events in Europe.

Tullamore D.E.W. unveils a world-first Cider Cask Finish Irish whiskey

Tullamore D.E.W. – the original triple-distilled, triple-blend Irish whiskey – has unveiled the world’s first cider cask finished Irish whiskey: Tullamore D.E.W. Cider Cask Finish.  This will be available exclusively in Global Travel Retail stores and at the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre in Tullamore. Due to the seasonal nature of the Irish apple harvest, it will have limited production, made only between September and November each year.

Cushelle has its big screen premiere in Ireland

Cushelle will be running an advertising campaign for the first time this summer in cinemas throughout Ireland. The commercial has its big screen premiere in June in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It will be shown around key animated movies including The Minions from 26 June and Pixels from 14 August. The brand expects around 800,000 people to watch the commercial during the planned 12 weeks of screening.

Improper Butter launches new variety just in time for BBQ season

Improper Butter has launched new Improper Butter with Sunblushed Tomato and Basil – just in time for summer BBQs! The new cooking butter combines grass-fed Irish creamery butter with sunblushed tomatoes, fresh basil and natural seasonings. A 100g pack of the new butter retails for €2.49. Growth pops up for snack with ‘Proper’ credentials

Irish chef Mark Moriarty and designer partner, Kirsty Ward up for major gong at S. Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 Awards

Irish chef Mark Moriarty will compete against 19 other young chefs to be named the S. Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 at an awards ceremony on 26 June, having beaten thousands of other entries to represent the UK-Ireland in the final. For another special award on the night, Best Chef-Designer Couple, Vogue Italia has paired UK-Ireland finalist Mark Moriarty with UK designer Kirsty Ward who has worked with Alberta Ferretti and has also caught the attention of uber-editor Anna Wintour.
