Bord Bia launches “Celebrate Strawberry Season”
The ‘Celebrate Strawberry Season’ campaign, by Bord Bia, the Irish Soft Fruit Growers Association and the IFA has kicked off, celebrating the season of the much-loved summer fruit. This year’s campaign encourages consumers to consider strawberries as a healthy snack option, since they are low in calories and low in sugar, making them an ideal alternative snack for all ages. Shoot a foodie video with Donal Skehan in Los Angeles
Chef Donal Skehan has announced a new partnership with the National Dairy Council and European Milk Forum, for whose new campaign he has just been named ambassador. “Cheese. Your Way” is aimed at encouraging more Irish consumers to enjoy quality cheese from Europe. To mark Donal’s support of the campaign, the NDC and European Milk Forum have launched an opportunity for a social media-savvy foodie and a friend to visit Donal at his home in LA and participate in a video workshop to learn more about food styling. SuperValu’s online shopping service named as Today FM sponsor
SuperValu has been announced as the new show sponsor for Dermot & Dave’s mid-morning show on Today FM. The sponsorship will see SuperValu Online Shopping become an integral part of Dermot & Dave through stings, promotions and cross-station digital display for 12 months. Everest Snacks and Applegreen fuel-up for convenience partnership
Everest Snacks, the healthy snack food brand, has joined forces with Applegreen for a new forecourt retail partnership. The new team-up was announced at the Ballymount Applegreen Service Station, with Aaron Duggan, head of Service Area Retail and Food Operations at Applegreen, and Everest Snacks brand ambassador, Niamh Cullen. Seamus Tighe, founder and MD of Everest Snacks, said he is excited to see the snack brand stocked in Applegreen stores nationwide. “This partnership strategically broadens our consumer reach,” he said, “and product accessibility across retail in Ireland, and we’re confident Applegreen will help fuel our continued growth.”
Aldi Play Rugby School Sticker Competition
Over 16,000 rugby balls and 24,000 water bottles are on the way to primary schools across the country as part of the Aldi Play Rugby Primary School Sticker Competition, through which young visitors to Aldi stores were encouraged to collect and share stickers of Ireland’s rugby heroes.
