It’s crunch time

Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain, a well-known favourite in cereal snacking in the Irish market, was a nominee in this award category, and the brand has announced some exciting news.

The product range is undergoing a revamp which includes the launch of new look packaging coinciding with the addition of Nutri-Grain Crunchy to the already much loved tasty range.

Nutri-Grain Crunchy is an enjoyable, satisfying snack made from golden baked wholegrain oats and honey. The bar, which is in duo format, comes in two flavours – Oats & Honey and Oats & Chocolate.

According to Emer Barry, Kellogg’s Snacks brand manager: "We’re delighted with the new addition to the new-look Nutri-Grain range. With the introduction of Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Crunchy we’re offering consumers a snack that promises to really hit the spot."

The new products will be in stores from April.

N-ice scoop for Ben & Jerry’s

2012 saw the launch of Ben & Jerry’s newest flavour creation – The Core. The revolutionary range features three ‘explore the core’ flavours in 500ml tubs (RPS: €5.99) – Karamel Sutra, Berry White and Dough-ble Whammy. The Core combines not one, but two favourite Fairtrade flavours in a tub with a core of sauce running through it, for the ultimate taste sensation.

In June, Ben & Jerry’s took to the road on the ‘Core Crusader’ for the Core Tour which directly connected with 20,000 ice cream fans across the country. Throughout the tour, fans could win the opportunity to have the Core Crusader call to their door through an innovative Facebook app, all they had to do was tell Ben & Jerry’s why they deserved the chance to have it call to their home, workplace, or community.

With a media investment of €900,000 which included outdoor, sampling and PR; the Core was the largest in-home launch in 2012 with sales to date reaching €1.39m* and Facebook growth of 35%.
