Bord Gáis Energy becomes energy supplier for the Restaurants Association of Ireland’s 2,500 members

Bord Gáis Energy has announced a new partnership with the Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) to become the association’s preferred energy supplier in the Republic of Ireland and help restaurants efficiently and easily manage their energy bills – a core cost for all food service outlets. Through the new partnership, RAI members can avail of exclusive benefits. The partnership is valued at approximately €1 million annually and will see the RAI promote Bord Gáis Energy as the preferred energy supplier in the Republic of Ireland for its 2,500 members. Stretching across the country, RAI members include full service restaurants, coffee shops, hotel restaurants, gastro pubs, clubhouses and cookery schools.

The Sexton Photography Exhibition & Challenge

The Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey is celebraating its official launch with The Sexton Photography Exhibition, which takes place at the Project Arts Centre in Dublin on Thursday, 18 July. The exhibition will feature work from renowned Irish and International photographers with their takes on the theme “Own The Night”. The exhibition will also be a competition for other professional and amateur photographers in Ireland who can submit their own interpretations of the “Own The Night” theme via TheSexton.ie. Tickets are only €10 via EventBrite and entitle guests to access The Sexton Photography Exhibition and two cocktails, as well as a sensory tasting in the Darkroom and a few other surprises.

Gym+Coffee team up with Brian O’Driscoll for inaugural Make Life Richer Day

Irish lifestyle brand Gym+Coffee and the brand’s head of community Brian O’Driscoll will host the first ever Make Life Richer Day on Sunday, 30 June, with a mini festival experience at Herbert Park, Dublin. Make Life Richer Day will incorporate all the elements of the Gym+Coffee ethos – exercise, the outdoors, coffee and socialising. Some of Ireland’s top trainers and brands will be on hand with great classes, chill out areas and of course, coffee and treats to keep visitors going throughout the day. Nduja from award winner Corndale Farm Free Range Charcuterie

Corndale Farm, Northern Ireland’s award-winning producer of premium quality cured meats, has launched the region’s first Nduja. The spreadable salami is a delicacy that has been planned by Corndale Farm for some considerable amount of time. The new Nduja has already been taste tested by local chefs and produced “immensely positive” reactions, with several already interested in including it in their own dishes and menus. Small artisan producer Corndale Farm has won a string of awards for its salami and chorizo.
