Tesco Ireland teams up with St. Patrick’s Festival 2019

Tesco Ireland has joined forces with the St. Patrick's Festival for a series of events celebrating Ireland's cultural heritage in food and drink, music, literature and more. The Tesco Finest Celebration of Irish Culture will be centred on the Festival Village in Merrion Square, Dublin.

St. Patrick’s Festival is has announced  new two-year cultural partnership with Tesco Ireland entitled Tesco finest* – A Celebration of Irish Culture. The extensive and inclusive cultural programme will celebrate Ireland’s heritage, traditions and music alongside the very best of Irish food, and will feature across the five-day St. Patrick’s Festival from March 14 _ 18.

The programme partnership will feature a strong family focus, with plenty for young and old to enjoy. The majority of events will take place at the new three-day Festival Village in Merrion Square, Dublin, which will be open to the public from Saturday, 16 March to Monday, 18 March.. 

Susan Kirby, St. Patrick’s Festival CEO said she is delighted to announce this exciting partnership with the team at Tesco Ireland. “We look forward to working on an inclusive, celebratory and diverse cultural programme for 2019 and beyond,” she said.

Clair O’Donnell, head of brand activations for Tesco Ireland, said that the events are part of Tesco’s ongoing commitment to investment and support of important Irish cultural events such as Pride, Electric Picnic and the National Ploughing Championships. “We’re very honoured to be such a major partner to the world renowned St. Patrick’s Festival,” O’Donnell said. “This is something our colleagues are very excited about, and as a team we can’t wait to bring our culture of little helps to life across the Festival, supporting a whole host of cultural events and activities for colleagues, customers and families to enjoy.”
