On RTÉ Cork’s brand new six part series ‘Recipe for Success’ 15 cooks will battle it out to get their home recipe turned into a commercial product fit for the shelves of 190 Supervalu stores nationwide.

Getting a cut of every unit sold, the lucky finalist could potentially win Irish television’s first unlimited prize.

Each week three hopefuls meet their mentor, TV foodie Oliver Peyton to improve their recipes and prepare them to be tested on the public and supermarket buyers. itsa bagel co-owner and Irish Times food writer Domini Kemp is also on hand to give the participants some advice on the food industry.

The budding entrepreneurs will ultimately have to pitch their recipes to Supervalu chiefs in a bid to have their dish scaled up for mass production; to a judging panel including Edel Russell, head of innovation, Ray Kelly, head of marketing, and Eamon Howell, head of trading.

Recipe for Success will air on Thursday evenings at 8:30pm, on RTÉ One.
