XL set consumers a picture-perfect challenge this summer and those who entered the competition certainly didn't disappoint on the creativity front

With 187 stores nationwide, the XL brand is a fast-growing name in local communities all over Ireland and it has got lots of photos to prove it!

A photography competition kicked off in the summer and ran until the end of September, supported by in-store posters, radio advertisements, social media and online marketing.

Consumers were presented with the challenge to create a photo that depicted the most creative way of capturing the XL name, be it by using abstract objects or simply cutting out the letters X and L and placing them in the photo.

Over 155 top class entries were received from consumers up and down the country. Overall winner, Shirley Kelly, received a brand new Cannon SLR camera, accessories pack and half day training course with renowned photographer Podge Kelly.  A superb prize valued at over €1,000.
