Webinar targets rising liability insurance costs
A new webinar will help organisations reduce insurance premiums by improving occupational health and safety practices
26 January 2026
On Wednesday, 28 January at 10am, the Alliance for Insurance Reform will host a one-hour webinar outlining how employers can reduce liability claims and demonstrate strong OSH practices to insurers at renewal time.
More employer and public liability claims mean higher premiums.
Reduced premiums
Conversely, fewer claims and robust occupational health and safety (OSH) procedures and practises should lead to reduced premiums.
This one-hour session will cover:
- A brief recap of the legal responsibilities as an employer
- Practical tips to ensure compliance
- Discuss the areas where organisations usually fall down in this area
- Case studies
- Learn how to demonstrate health and safety procedures at renewal time
- Identify resources that can help
- Q&A.
This practically focused session will have something for organisations of all sizes.
The CSNA’s speaker, Blaithin Mc Grath has over 25 years academic experience lecturing at ATU Sligo.
Prior to this she worked as an OSH professional in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries and has extensive experience in developing OSH Management Systems.
This information session is specifically for members of the Alliance for Insurance Reform.
