Breast Cancer Ireland is rolling out its first ever Great Pink Bake Off, kindly supported by Dr Oetker, which will help Ireland’s leading breast cancer charity to raise some ‘serious dough’ for complimentary education and awareness programmes all across the country.

Fronted by well-known baking pro and TV chef, Louise Lennox, every cent raised through the Bake Off, taking place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) will go straight into driving awareness of the eight signs and symptoms of this disease, which impacts one in nine Irish women annually.

It’s extremely easy to get involved – aspiring bakers can simply download the Great Pink Bake-Off Kit from www.breastcancerireland.com, which includes cake toppers, Bake-Off posters, and a simple to follow eight recipe booklet, invite friends or family members to do the same, and set a date for their very own Bake-Off, raising a few euro for this excellent cause. The full range of Dr Oetker ingredients for your bake off show-stopper are available in stores nationwide.

Speaking about the campaign launch, Aisling Hurley, CEO of Breast Cancer Ireland said: “We’re hoping to ignite a flare for baking and a pinch of competition amongst families, corporate colleagues, and friends in this our first ever Great Pink Bake Off. No need for anything overly complicated recipe-wise – just ‘fake it til you bake it’ … it’s all a bit of fun, but for a serious cause, with the funds raised allowing us to extend the read of our education and awareness programmes across Ireland”

“We’re delighted to support Breast Cancer Ireland’s first ever Great Pink Bake Off,” added Kaylee Norris, assistant brand manager at Dr.Oetker Ireland.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring people together though baking, sharing some delicious treats and raising vital funds for such a worthy cause. Our new over-arching campaign message is “Little Makes a Big Difference” and this couldn’t be more fitting for such a great event. We encourage everyone to get involved and have some fun with their bakes.”
