Following a hiatus M&S recently announced that it has ‘brought back’ online shopping in Ireland.

In a statement, the retailer highlighted that its customers can now shop all of its fashion, home and beauty ranges on marksandspencer.ie and through its app.

“Shop all our fashion, home and beauty ranges online for free home delivery on orders above €50 or use our free Click & Collect service to pick up your order from any M&S store across Ireland,” a M&S spokesperson said in a statement.

“Online orders can also now be returned to our Irish stores.”

“Thank you for your support and for shopping with us, we are incredibly grateful.”

 Targeted cyber-attack

Early this year, in its full year financial results, M&S reported that a cyber attack has cost the company in the region of £300 million  (€346,920,000) for 2025/26.

In a statement, Stuart Machin, chief executive, M&S said that the company had been managing a ‘highly sophisticated and targeted cyber-attack’, which has led to a limited period of disruption.

“We have tackled this head on with incredible spirit, teamwork and deep sense of responsibility as we prioritised serving our customers,” he said

“It has been challenging, but it is a moment in time, and we are now focused on recovery, with the aim of exiting this period a much stronger business.

“There is no change to our strategy and our longer-term plans to reshape M&S for growth and, if anything, the incident allows us to accelerate the pace of change as we draw a line and move on.

“Over the last 140 years, M&S has overcome many challenges – testament to the longevity of this brand. This incident is a bump in the road, and we will come out of this in better shape, and continue our plan to reshape M&S for customers, colleagues and shareholders.”
