McVitie’s introduces new Snakz salty cracker

McVitie’s Snakz is a ‘moreish’ lightly salted cracker, enjoyed on its own or with a topping, at just 24 calories per cracker.

McVitie’s research shows one in seven biscuit buyers prefer savoury biscuits and Ireland consumes 3.8 million Kg of savoury biscuits each year.

United Biscuits subsequently launched McVitie’s Snakz, retailing at approx €1.75 per pack. At a time when consumers are making cut backs like bringing packed lunches to work, Snakz is a flexible, great value alternative for lunchboxes.

With strong promotional support, Snakz’ launch complements McVitie’s Cream Crackers introduced last year. United Biscuits’ posted excellent results for Jan-Feb 2009, positioning McVitie’s as Ireland’s most popular biscuit brand.
