“Bleeding” vegan burgers go on sale in UK

As the popularity of meat alternatives grows, so too does the search for the perfect meat substitute. A new brand claims to be the most accurate imitation yet, Beyond  Burger, and has gone on saler in Tesco stores in the UK to customer acclaim and rapid sell-outs. The Beyind Burger is made from a combination of pea protein, potato starch and coconut oil, along with beetroot juice, which they claim gives it a beef-style “bleed” when cooked and eaten. We are intrigued, and will keep a close eye for its arrival on these shores!
