According to the discounter, the new and improved Lidl store will provide customers with an enhanced shopping experience, with high ceilings, wider aisles, new self-service checkouts, two Deposit Return Scheme machines, as well as larger in-store bakery and off licence.
As part of the opening, Dublin Ladies Gaelic Footballer Éilish O’Dowd will join the Dublin Ballyfermot store team and customers to officially cut the ribbon on the newly redeveloped store.
Commenting ahead of the store opening O’Dowd, said: “I’m really looking forward to opening the newly refurbished Ballyfermot store and meeting all the shoppers on opening day.
“Lidl has been a fantastic partner to LGFA over the years, and it’s great to see them investing even more in the local community. The new self-service checkouts will be a great addition to the store.”
Family fun day
In addition, the retailer will noted that it will provide complimentary vouchers to the first ten customers in line on the morning, alongside offering huge savings on middle aisle favourites.
There will also be a family fun day on the opening day for customers to get involved with face painting, entertainment, a play area, music, and more.
