Shloer goes on air for Easter

Ireland’s best selling adult soft drinks brand – is taking its Easter support package to new heights this year with its ‘Best Served Shared’ TV ad campaign being aired in the Republic of Ireland for the very first time.

The TV advertising burst in April spearheads a comprehensive spring campaign for Shloer, which is supplied by SHS Sales & Marketing.

As well as the TV campaign, Shloer press ads will also appear in April issues of weekly celebrity magazines Hello! and OK!, and consumers who have signed up to receive regular updates from Shloer will receive an Easter-themed e-newsletter featuring tips for Easter entertaining, along with recipes and competitions.

The run up to Easter also sees the launch of the Shloer Sunday Cookbook competition via an application on Shloer’s Facebook page. Consumers will be asked to upload their favourite recipes using a list of seasonal ingredients, and an array of cookery-related prizes will be on offer for the monthly winners whose recipes will be selected and featured on line as the Shloer Recipe of the Month.

At store level Shloer stockists will benefit from ‘Easter special’ promotions, and free point of sale materials are also available from SHS Sales & Marketing (Tel: + 353 1 4672789).

The support is all part of the plan to help retailers make the most of the natural surge in Shloer sales at this time of year which delivers the biggest sales peak outside of Christmas.

“In the week leading up to Easter we generally see sales of Shloer double compared with average weekly sales during the rest of the year,” says Amanda Grabham, marketing communications controller for Shloer. “And we’re expecting an even bigger and extended uplift this year – not only because of the upweight in advertising spend, but also because three key social occasions fall in April – Mother’s Day on 3 April, Easter (22-25 April) with another Bank Holiday falling on the weekend after Easter.

“To avoid out-of-stocks during this period retailers will need to increase their stockholding and the number of facings for Shloer, and it also presents an ideal opportunity for them to expand the range of flavours they offer.”
