Aldi has revealed that its festive mascot Kevin the Carrot will make his comeback this week when the supermarket chain’s Christmas campaign launches. A special 70-second launch promo will air this Thursday 7 November at 6.20pm on Virgin Media Two. The film continues a previously launched teaser that pits the animaated character against a gang of brussels sprouts, led by one Russell Sprout.

John Curtin, Group Buying Director of Aldi Ireland, said he is delighted to see Kevin the Carrot on screens again as the festive season kicks off. “Kevin’s popularity has grown steadily over the past three years and he’s becoming something of a festive season treasure,” said Curtin. “Kevin’s magical Big Top is the perfect environment to showcase the amazing quality of the Aldi Christmas range of food and drink this year.”

Kevin the Carrot first appeared in 2016 as part of Aldi’s Christmas campaign and there has been an incredible response since.
