SuperValu’s reinvention as the premier premium supermarket continues with the launch of the SuperValu Signature Taste Irish Hampshire Pork range.

The new range, which was launched by Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed TD at the National Ploughing Championships, aims to boost the 117m Irish Pork Market* by offering premium pork products at an “everyday, affordable price”.

Hampshire pork is renowned for its leanness, one of many unique traits within the new offering.

Speaking at the launch event, Michael Creed said that Ireland’s agrifood industry has played a significant role in Ireland’s recovery. “Innovation will be key in ensuring it continues to do so,” he said. “This new initiative by SuperValu represents an important development in bolstering the Irish pork market, further showcasing the quality and versatility of Irish pork to the consumer, and nurturing this important indigenous industry.”
