Irish school – but not as you know it with Mr Tayto!

To celebrate the launch of Coláiste Tayto, Mr Tayto and Eoghan McDermott took to the streets of Dublin to ask people their ‘cúpla focal’! First Cashzone ATM goes live in the Republic of Ireland

Cardtronics Europe recently announced the launch of its first ATM in the Republic of Ireland. The global independent cash machine operator saw its first transaction completed on Friday, 4 March, at a Cashzone branded ATM installed inside a local convenience store – at Dromiskin, just outside Dundalk.

Research commissioned by Cardtronics Europe on the value of cash in convenience stores and at forecourts, showed 71% of shoppers interviewed consider a cash machine as an important service to have on site. Furthermore, nearly eight in 10 people (77%) in local shops spent newly withdrawn cash directly on site, and there are tangible increases in customer loyalty, footfall and sales.

Aramark names Nominated Charities in Ireland for 2016

Aramark, global provider of award-winning services in food, facilities management and property, has announced its nominated charities in Ireland for 2016. This year’s charities are Aware; Mater Foundation; Cork Samaritans and finally, Galway Autism Partnership. Since the establishment of the Aramark Charitable Fund in Ireland in 2008, over €380,000 has been raised for the nominated charities selected each year. Throughout the year, Aramark employees in Ireland will host and support a number of fundraising initiatives.

Arthurstown Brewing Company launches ‘1916 Proclamation Porter’ 

On Thursday 27 April 1916, the Enniscorthy brigade of the Irish Volunteers proclaimed the Republic to the good people of Wexford from the steps of the Athenaeum theatre. County Wexford-based Arthurstown Brewing Company’s Proclamation Porter is an old-school Irish stout, brewed from native grains, with chocolate and dark crystal malts for a velvety finish, with notes of chocolate and coffee. Available in 500ml bottles and on draught, this is Arthurstown Brewing Company’s fifth beer since first appearing on the market in September 2015 and brew master Kieran Bird, along with celebrity Chef Kevin Dundon, are constantly developing new and exciting recipes.
