This week Tesco Ireland launched ‘Your kind of Christmas’, a campaign celebrating the traditions and idiosyncrasies that make each Irish household’s Christmas special. The campaign follows a fictional family through four Christmas moments from festive entertaining to unwrapping presents to preparing the turkey and sitting down to the main Christmas meal.  Each moment depicts some traits, behaviours and traditions that viewers may recognise from their own families from granny somehow winning at crackers every time, son-in-law Ben adjusting to his new family’s peculiar habits to the ever hard to buy present for Dad.

The campaign was developed with agency partner Target McConnells and director Ben Whitehouse with Dermot Whelan commentating on the interactions and intricacies of Christmas Day. The through the line campaign includes TV, radio, press, outdoor and digital with the first two TV  ads on air this week with additional creative airing over the coming weeks until Christmas week.
