Ireland’s first barbecue centre of excellence opens with search to find best recipe

The search to find Ireland’s best barbecue recipe began at the weekend (Saturday, 2 April) when the country’s first barbecue centre of excellence opened its doors at home, garden and café retailer, The Orchard in Celbridge. Ireland’s first Weber World Store is exclusive to The Orchard and offers barbecue fans a wide selection of products, personalised advice from in-store specialists, regular hands-on cookery demonstrations, grill skills tutorials and for the first time ever, barbecue health checks.

As part of the launch, Weber is searching for the best family barbecue recipes featuring local ingredients to be published in a brand-new e-cookbook, ‘Weber’s Great Book of Barbecue’, later this year. Submissions can be made via www.weber.com. Alternatively you can tweet pictures of your submitted recipes using the hashtag #IRLBBQ. The Orchard is also set to host Weber’s Grill Academy, a two-hour live barbecue show led by an expert chef, on Wednesday May 11 from 6.30-8.30pm. Tickets are available from The Orchard for €20.
