Kronenbourg Blanc beer launches in Ireland with sunny party

Kronenbourg has launched its latest variety Blanc, a premium wheat beer with unique citrus and coriander notes. Launching in a select number of outlets around the country, Kronenbourg Blanc is recognisable for its stylish azure blue bottle, and its bright, light and zesty flavour. The launch was marked with a special summer party at Dublin’s Haddington House, where guests were treated to a limited edition print by Quentin Monge, who collaborated with Kronenbourg on the beer’s design.

 

 

It’s official: Irish people scream for ice cream

We’re just mad for the stuff. New research by HB indicates that just under one third (29%) of Irish people claim to have consumed 5-10 ice creams per month over the summer period. 34% opted for a treat from the freezer up to five times each month and in times of considerably favourable weather, almost one fifth (17.4%) indulged in 10-15 ice creams in June, July and August. HB surveyed 900 adults aged 18-70, who also responded they believe the summer is over once schools go back.

 

SPAR renews sponsorship of University Concert Hall Panto

Spar has announced its renewal of the title sponsorship of the University Concert Hall, Limerick Panto, which this year is the most magical of them all, Cinderella. The Robert C. Kelly and University Concert Hall produced Panto is now in its sixth year and has grown to become one of the most eagerly anticipated in the country, with a host of Irish showbiz names starring in it since 2012. Last year’s production of Beauty and the Beast, which was the first under the Spar title, enjoyed unprecedented sales and over 95% occupancy across 33 shows.

Cooney’s Irish Cider wins international acclaim at 2017 World Cider Awards

The team behind Cooney’s Irish Cider are celebrating international recognition after scooping two awards at the 2017 World Cider Awards in London.The World Cider Awards selects the very best of internationally recognised styles of drinks and is judged by a panel of international experts. Cooney’s Irish Cider won the “Best Irish Sparkling Cider” category and was also named “Best Style” winner. A full list of medal winners at the 2017 World Cider Awards is available here.

Boyne Brewhouse wins two awards at 2017 World Beer Awards

Cooney’s wasn’t the only Irish winner in London either – Boyne Brewhouse received the “Country Best – Ireland” award while Boyne Brewhouse IPA won the “Country Gold – Ireland” category. Winning at the World Beer Awards adds to the Boyne Brewhouse’s ever increasing list of accolades since launching in late 2015, and follows the 2 Star Great Taste Awards for the Boyne Brewhouse IPA and Saison earlier this month. Boyne Brewhouse Lager and limited edition Imperial stout were also awarded 1 Star Great Taste Awards.
