Lily O Brien’s ‘Share Wisely’ Campaign

Ahead of Mother’s Day on 31 March, chocolate producer Lily O’Brien’s has launched its first-ever TV campaign, which playfully explores the dilemma between sharing chocolate treats and keeping them all to yourself! The “Share Wisely” campaign will air on broadcast TV as well as online platforms such as ITV and All4, supported by PR, digital and marketing activations. The aim is to showcase the Lily O’Briens range ahead of Mother’s Day, including the brand’s number one Desserts Collection, available in all major retailers in Ireland and the UK and online at lilyobriens.ie or lilyobriens.co.uk.

Glassbox launches Ireland’s first ever 330ml small batch “Craft Cocktails”

Co. Meath distiller Glassbox Spirits has unveiled its ready-mixed craft cocktail range, which provides cocktail classics in 330ml cans. The Gin & Tonic, Pink Gin & Tonic and Vodka, Cranberry & Soda 330ml cans consists of premium distilled spirit mixed with only natural ingredients (5% ABV). They contain no artificial flavourings, colourings or sweeteners, and with a distinctive, modern design are certain to attract consumers’ attention. The range launched last week, just in time for the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and the coming spring/summer outdoor events.

Accolade Wines launches alcohol-free range

UK-based Accolade Wines has launched a new alcohol-free Chardonnay under its best-selling Hardys brand. Hardys, which saw a 2.9% increase in sales last year, is the number one UK wine brand and is broadening its offer in response to increasing demand for low or no-alcohol alternatives which offer an authentic, sophisticated wine experience. This is the brand’s first no alcohol style. Marketing director David White said that the alcohol-free category represents a £17m profit opportunity for the wine trade, and Hardy’s Alcohol Free aims to capitalise on that opportunity.

Boyne Brewhouse scoops eight top awards at 2019 Alltech Dublin Craft Beer and Cider Cup

Craft beer and cider producer Boyne Brewhouse has won eight awards at the seventh annual ‘Dublin Craft Beer and Cider Cup’ competitions, hosted by the Alltech Craft Brews and Food Fair. The award wins included a Gold medal and ‘Best in Speciality Category’ for its ‘Saison’ beer and two Silver medals for ‘Imperial Stout’ and the limited edition ‘Raspberry Sour’. Showcasing more than 320 craft beers, ciders and spirits, the event celebrates the best of the Irish craft brewing and distilling sector. The entrants are rated, tasted and analysed by an expert, international panel of judges before bring critiqued based on appearance, aroma, flavour, body, style and quality.

Ballymaloe launches Irish Mayonnaise

Irish brand Ballymaloe, known for its iconic Ballymaloe Relish, has officially launched its Ballymaloe Mayonnaise to the Irish market. Made in small batches with Irish free-range eggs, extra virgin olive oil and cracked black pepper, it has the taste and quality consumers have come to expect from the Ballymaloe cookery school. It is currently available in Dunnes Stores and Tesco outlets, with further launches planned for mid-April.

Iconic Pez sweet brand has new Irish distributor

Confectionery and snacking specialists Shelton Distributors Ltd has been announced as the new and exclusive distributor of Pez, the austrian candy company known for its inventive novelty dispensers. Pez was founded in 1927 and currently sells approximately 70m of its dispensers worldwide every year.
