The Big Grill team are delighted to announce their biggest food lineup yet this 11-14 August 2022 in Herbert Park, Dublin 4.

The festival prides itself on offering a truly unique food lineup, unlike any other as everything must be cooked over live fire – no electricity or gas is allowed.

There will be 20+ restaurants over the weekend including some of the best international barbecue names – Chris Lilly & the Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q Competition Cooking Team (winners of 17 World BBQ Championships), Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ all the way from Austin, Texas, Kimberly Plafke & Meathook from Brooklyn, NY, Christina Fitzgerald & Mike Johnson from Sugarfire Smokehouse, St. Louis, London’s From The Ashes BBQ,  Neil Rankin’s new plant-based venture Symplicity Foods, Billy Durney’s Hometown Bar-B-Que from Brooklyn, NYC and an exclusive pop-up from Andy Ricker’s famous Pok Pok. Ricker had closed his Northern Thai inspired Pok Pok empire in 2020, making it all the more exciting that he’s reigniting it for The Big Grill this year, serving a selection of Isaan style dishes on the Saturday and hosting an Offside dinner on Sunday 14th.

Homegrown talent includes Reggie’s Pizza Party, Damien Grey’s 2 Michelin starred Liath, Aishling Moore from Goldie in Cork, Mister S, Reyna, Hang Dai, Chimac, Bahay, Our Table, Bites by Kwanghi, AA’s Caribbean, B-Skewers, Los Chicanos, Pitt Bros.

One of the best things about The Big Grill is always the access visitors get to the chefs and experts at the festival across the weekend, whether it’s watching them cook in their open live fire kitchens or catching them at Bastecamp, the smoking hub of the festival.

Food writer Dee Laffan, head of catertainement DJ BBQ and Meat Life presented Nick Solares will host talks, tastings and demos all weekend with some top-notch talent like outdoor expert Ray Mears, founder of Hardcore Carnivore BBQ, Jess PrylesGenevieve Taylor, one of UK’s leading live fire and BBQ experts, BBQ Pit-Mistress and Food Network US star Christina Fitzgerald, BBQ legend Chris Lilly from Big Bob Gibson’s, Alabama, Martin Anderson (ex Temper Head Chef) & From The Ashes Barbecue, Mike Johnson from St. Louis’ Sugarfire Smoke House, Kimberly Plafke, head butcher of The Meat Hook, Brooklyn and Ben Quinn of Canteen & Woodfired Canteen, Cornwall, Jordan Bailey from 2 Michelin starred restaurant Aimsir, JP McMahonNico Reynolds and lots more.

The festival has also just added a brand new upgraded element Rancho Relaxo, for anyone looking for a more premium experience. A brand new and exclusive area within the festival where you can kick back and catch up with mates, work buddies and take a breather from the festival action. The Rancho Relaxo garden will feature a private bar, fire pits, guaranteed seating (unreserved), DJs, garden games, posh loos and two complimentary drinks on arrival. You’ll also get fast track entry to the festival via the dedicated Rancho Relaxo lane www.biggrillfestival.com/rancho-wwwrelaxo
