Tesco opens new Collins Avenue store, creates 12 new jobs

Tesco has recently opened a new Express store on Collins Avenue, north Dublin, creating 12 new jobs.

The store which measures almost 4,500 sq feet and will offer an extensive range of groceries, fresh produce, household items, and more.

Claire Kelly, store manager has been with Tesco for 17 years and has managed several stores in that time including Malahide and Ratoath.

Speaking at the official opening, she, said: “We are very pleased to be opening this brand-new store on Collins Avenue and are very much looking forward to welcoming our new customers and getting involved in the community at a local level.”

Local community 

Through its Stronger Starts community strategy, Tesco noted that it champion’s children’s health at both national and local levels.

At Collins Avenue, Tesco supports Our Lady of Consolation National School through Stronger Starts Food, providing free fresh fruit and vegetables to children who need it most.

The retailer also supports community projects including Our Lady of Consolation National School in Killester, Raheny, Clontarf Educate Together National School and Scoil Chiaráin National School through its blue token Community Fund.

The retailer actively fundraises for its charity partner Children’s Health Foundation and donates surplus food each evening for redistribution.
