SuperValu suppliers secure 112 Blás na hÉireann awards
SuperValu Own Brand, Food Academy and independent Irish suppliers among the winners at the 2026 Blás na hÉireann, the Irish food awards

Producers supplying SuperValu stores have secured 112 awards at the 2026 Blás na hÉireann, the Irish food awards, including 14 Gold, 21 Silver and 17 Bronze awards for SuperValu Own Brand products.
The winning products span SuperValu Own Brand and Signature Tastes ranges, as well as products from Food Academy producers, the Happy Pear and Clean Cut Meals.
Gold award winners included Signature Tastes Fresh Irish Monkfish Bites with Honey and Garlic Aioli, Signature Tastes Smoked Allenwood Cheese, Signature Tastes Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice and SuperValu Mango Kefir.
Food Academy producers recognised
Food Academy producers secured 60 awards in total, highlighting the range of emerging Irish food and drink businesses supplying SuperValu.
Dublin-based Fire & 5th was among the standout Food Academy winners, receiving Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for its range of non-alcoholic drinks.
The Happy Pear also picked up four awards for its Sweet Beet Hummus, Red Pepper Hummus, Spicy Red Pepper Pesto and Topped Hummus with Sundried Tomatoes.

Commenting on the awards, Finbar McCarthy, commercial director at SuperValu, said: “I would like to congratulate all producers who have been recognised at this year’s Blás na hÉireann awards. It is fantastic to see their hard work, creativity and commitment to producing high-quality Irish food and drink recognised on a national stage.”

SuperValu currently works with more than 1,800 suppliers and has a long-standing focus on locally produced and Irish-sourced food and drink.
Recognising quality across Irish food and drink
The Blás na hÉireann awards are judged through blind tasting by a panel drawn from across the Irish food sector.
Products are entered across more than 200 food and drink categories, with the awards recognising quality and taste across the island of Ireland.
