SCA rebrands health and hygiene divisions Essity as company joins NASDAQ
Essity, the leading global hygiene and health company, has commenced a listing on the on NASDAQ Stockholm in a move to providing customers and consumers with an insight into the company’s vision and strategy.

The listing follows the decision to split the SCA Group into two independent listed companies. The forest products company will retain the SCA name, while the Essity will be over the door for the company’s health and hygiene manufacturing divisions.
While SCA’s hygiene business had been known historically for its hygiene products and brands including TENA, Tork, Bodyform, Velvet, Cushelle and Plenty. The Essity name is set to be built on a foundation of both hygiene and health products.
An already strong presence in Ireland’s FMCG stockists including feminine care, toilet tissue and household towel categories, Essity’s vision is to be “dedicated to improving well-being through leading hygiene and health solutions.”
The new Essity branding will be rolled out worldwide in approximately 150 different countries via a phased approach over the next two years. This encompasses the inclusion of the new Essity logo on all Essity-branded product packaging and advertising.
