Quintain Ireland has announced the addition of two new retail outlets at The Crossings, a major urban village development in Adamstown in Dublin.

McCabes Pharmacy and Kerrigans Craft Butchers are the latest businesses to join the tenant line-up at the new village centre, which also includes supermarket giants Tesco and Aldi.

The two well-known Irish family-owned businesses are an exciting addition to the development that will serve a catchment of over 100,000 people drawn from residents in Adamstown, and the neighbouring suburbs of Lucan, Celbridge and Leixlip.

It comes as Aldi and Tesco both opened their stores this month.

The first phase of The Crossings includes 279 apartments, a further 14 retail units and four restaurant outlets, along with a multi storey car park. Quintain’s total investment in The Crossings will be around €500m.

The Crossings will also include a 2-acre plaza, which will provide a centre piece for the community as a place to unwind and dine, with areas designed to bring people together at events, artisan markets and family fun days.

This phase of development marks the latest stage of progress in Quintain’s plans to create a vibrant community in Adamstown, where to date Quintain and its affiliates have built 1,000 homes, with over 85% occupied by first time buyers. In addition to the apartments at The Crossings, Quintain has a further 1,250 homes under construction or due to commence this year.

“We are delighted to welcome McCabes and Kerrigans to The Crossings,” said Michael Hynes, Quintain Ireland’s joint managing partner.

“This is another boost for Adamstown and the wider area. Our ambition is for Adamstown to be one of the best served urban villages in Dublin and the presence of high quality, family-owned and well-known businesses such as McCabes and Kerrigans will help us realise this.”

The Crossings will be McCabes Pharmacy’s 29th outlet and will enhance its reputation as one of Ireland’s leading pharmacy chains. Kerrigans Craft Butchers has been delivering superior products and services across all 32 counties of Ireland for over 50 years. Kerrigans already have five locations across Dublin and pride themselves on sourcing, aging and butchering the best produce Ireland has to offer. They are currently Dublin’s only Guaranteed Irish Butcher.
