SHOP returns to showcase latest innovation within the food, drink and retail sector at the RDS.

Organisers of the food, drink and retail sector event SHOP are building on last year’s successes by expanding the visitor profile, making the show a must for all businesses in the trade. SHOP 2009, which takes place from 28 to 30 September at the RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin 4, will showcase hundreds of top exhibitors, innovative products, international competitions, awards, seminars and workshops.

Floor space for SHOP 2009 has already been snapped up by some of Ireland’s top companies, including Derrynaflan, Pallas Foods, Forecourt Systems, Il Fornaio, Martin Food Equipment, Sheridan Cheesemongers, Avery Berkel and Keelings. These companies know the importance of face to face marketing, say the organisers, who encourage fellow operators in the food, drink and retailer solutions sector to make sure their company is represented at the show.

“With a changeable economic climate, it’s even more important than before to reinforce relationships with key customers and secure new leads for the future,” says Garret Buckley, joint managing director, Expo Events.

Also at SHOP this year are the International Cheese Awards, National Sausage and Puddings finals, Product of the Show Awards, and new additions Forecourt @ SHOP, the Energy Management Pavilion, and Fresh @ SHOP, will.
