New Zealand wines are among the top-sellers in Ireland, with consumers drawn to the innovative grape combinations, broad range of terroirs and the region's overall "New World" offering. Some of the country's key wineries will be present at the 22nd annual Flavours of New Zealand event, which takes place at Dublin's Radisson Blu Hotel on January 14.

A large-scale tasting of New Zealand wines will take place in Dublin this January, when an assortment of the country’s key wineries will be on show and available to sample, by trade and the public alike.

The 22nd Flavours of New Zealand will take place on Monday 14 January at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane in Dublin city centre. An estimated 150 wines will be available to taste on the day.

In addition to the main tasting for trade between 2pm and 6pm, there will be a masterclass starting 1pm (more details to follow). The event will subsequently be open to the public from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

New Zealand wine has a strong following in Ireland. In 2017, NZ wineries sold 543,621 cases of wines on the Irish market*, rising to 6% of the total market of 9.1 million cases.

Participating wineries for the 2019 New Zealand Winegrowers annual tasting include:  Askerne Winery, Babich,  Brancott Estate, Cloudy Bay, Felton Road, Lawsons Dry Hills, Mt Beautiful Wines – Teece Family Vineyards,  Oyster Bay,  Pegasus Bay, Sacred Hill, Saint Clair Family Estate, Seifried Estate, te Pa Family Vineyards, Villa Maria, Yealands Family Wines and more.
