Maxol Hearse Road, Donabate, officially opened this month following an extensive refurbishment and investment of €2 million. It led to the creation of 25 full and part time jobs in a welcome boost to the local area.

On Friday, Maxol welcomed Brendan Ryan TD to its new site at Donabate in North East Dublin. The local politician was warmly greeted by Maxol’s chief executive, Tom Noonan, along with Maxol licensees, Fergal and Ger Ralph and their Donabate staff.

“It really is fantastic to see a multi-million euro investment made in the Fingal area by a reputable Irish family-owned company such as Maxol,” Brendan Ryan said. Praising the site for both supporting employment and providing excellent products and services, he described it as “a superb convenience destination for everyone” and added, “I must say I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen here today”.

This latest achievement follows the creation of at least a further 70 jobs in the Fingal area with the opening of Maxol Mulhuddart in early April. This is Maxol’s flagship site, and the brand describes it as a milestone in many respects with brand new food franchises introduced.

“This is all part of Maxol’s wider development plan, which includes a particularly heavy investment in the Leinster area due to its high population density,” said Tom Noonan, CEO of The Maxol Group. “We’ve an incredible seven sites in total opening this year in Leinster alone, three of which are already up and running and four more will be opening shortly.”

The impressive development at Donabate now offers Maxol’s latest two-story building design and is focused on quality food service with the latest Maxol Mace convenience store, Bewley’s barista bar and a brand new ‘Moreish’ fresh food café.

Maxol is expected to announce the details of further new site openings in the coming weeks.
