Tesco Parents’ Panel gives top marks to F&F uniform range

A Tesco survey of over 1,000 parents has revealed that 50% of parents turn to other parents for advice when planning for back to school while a quarter trade information on social media.  With this in mind, Tesco Ireland established a panel of parents that gleaned some helpful and fascinating results.

The panel revealed that when selecting a school uniform, parents consider quality first (31%) and value for money second (29%), followed by durability (14%) and fit (18%).

Unilever launches “Life Stories” initiative to help vulnerable in society

Usually when brands kick off an intiative, the main objective is to promote that brand and boost sales. Unilever Food Solutions’ latest initiative is a little different, however, seeing that it’s main objective is to promote quality of life among the more vulnerable in society.

Uniliver Food Solutions’ new Life Stories initiative aims to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of older people living in residential care by enabling them to document and share the lives of others through fun and engaging activities.

According to Tadhg Daly, CEO of Nursing Homes Ireland, Life Stories is a positive tool that will add to the creative engagement that is daily within nursing homes.

Amazon’s Prime Day sales event eclipses previous outings

Amazon said its second annual Prime Day was the single biggest day in company history, with global merchandise sales eclipsing the first Prime Day event by more than 60% worldwide and more than 50% in the U.S. It was also the biggest day ever for Amazon devices globally. In all, Prime members across the globe saved more than double on deals over Prime Day 2015, the online retailer said.
