‘Love Irish Cream’ campaign launched to “protect and promote” the spirit

The Irish Spirits Association (ISA) has launched a ‘Love Irish Cream Liqueur’ campaign. Christmas is a very important time for Irish cream liqueur sales, and the campaign aims to remind consumers of  the product’s uniqueness, its importance to Ireland, and the need to protect it against imitations. According to the ISA, Irish cream liqueur is growing in popularity at home and abroad, after recovering from a ‘lost decade’ during which growth stagnated. Over 90 million bottles of Irish cream liqueur were sold globally in 2016.

Young Entrepreneur Award for Sadie’s Kitchen

Sadie’s Kitchen Comforting Bone Broth was among the winners at the Dublin final of the Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur competition this week. The food startup, already having gotten plenty of attention with an investment from Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Alison Cowzer, was awarded in the Best Established Business section. As well as the boost in publicity, the award comes with a cheque for €15,000.

Just Eat and BWG join forces for new offering

A new partnership between BWG Foodservice and JustEat.ie will provide added benefits for Just Eat Restaurant partners who will be able to avail of a credit discount from BWG Foodservice because they are Just Eat restaurant partners. The deal will allow all Just Eat Restaurant Partners to receive a percentage credit on potential orders in the first quarter of every calendar year. BWG has 20 Value Centre wholesale cash and carry branch locations, meaning that Just Eat Restaurant partners will be able to source wholesale goods locally.
