Launch of Maryland soft baked cookies

Burton’s Biscuit Company is breaking new ground in Ireland’s sweet biscuit market with the introduction of a category-boosting first, Maryland Soft Baked cookies.The innovation involves a substantial investment by Burton’s in new manufacturing technology. Maryland Soft Baked will be available in two 200g variants, Caramel & Choc Chunk and Double Choc Chunk, with 8 x 25g cookies in each pack, and an rrp of €2.49.

Get ready to “Shake it up” for a gluten free Pancake Tuesday

It is now easier than ever for people on gluten free diets to enjoy pancakes with a new product launched just in time for Pancake Tuesday. Pancake Mix is the latest product in the gluten and wheat free bakery range from PureBred, part of the Donegal-based Gallagher’s Bakery. It is available exclusively in Ireland. Aisling O’Loughlin, marketing manager from PureBred, said they wanted to offer people a genuine pancake alternative.

“It is not always easy for people with Coeliac disease, who cannot eat gluten, to find tasty and easy-to-make family favourites,” she said. “The same applies to other people on gluten or wheat free diets.
