Irish Merchants, part of the Bunzl Group, has announced it is introducing a new rental scheme in its beverage business in order to help cash-strapped retailers. Through the scheme retailers will have no upfront capital outlay, and maintenance and service is included in the deal.

Beverages manager, Evelyn Sutton says: “We understand that the present economic climate may inhibit marginalised retailers from spending on necessary changes that will enhance their business.” She added: “Retailers will have the very best in technology, promising the very lowest cup cost at as little as €10.25 a day or eight drinks a day.”

In addition, the leading convenience supplier is enhancing its beverage portfolio with the Kenco ‘Love Coffee’ concept; a world leading sustainably farmed coffee in a new exciting proposition. The ‘Love Coffee’ stand has an add-on section that can include confectionary or bakery items, to drive cross purchasing. The new rental scheme from Irish Merchants and the Kenco “Love Coffee” stand are available as of the end of last month.
