Holland & Barrett continues multi-million euro investment in Ireland as new flagship store is unveiled 

New Henry Street flagship store will offer a wide range of health foods, vitamins and supplements, sports nutrition and natural beauty products

Europe’s leading health and wellness retailer Holland & Barrett is officially opening a new flagship store on Henry Street on Dublin’s busy north city shopping district.

The latest opening is part of an ongoing multi-million euro investment by Holland & Barrett, with €5 million invested over the last 12 months on new store openings, relocations and refits across the country alone.

In addition to its dedicated Irish website (www.hollandandbarrett.ie), the company now operates 62 stores across the Republic with 314 ‘Qualified to Advise’ wellness advisors in stores. The latest expansion has created 30 new job roles with a further 60 roles planned over the next year.

“Over the last few years, we have seen a significant increase in people wanting to make the right choices and behavioural changes to support their physical and mental wellness,” said Michael Casey, executive chair at Holland & Barrett.

“As a business, we have a vision to be the trusted partner to help millions of people globally to achieve their personal health and wellness goals,” he added. “The launch of the Henry Street flagship store is a step towards helping our Irish customers to achieve their personal health and wellness goals, through a combination of advice, diagnostic services and a curated range of wellness products.”

The Henry Street flagship will offer a wide range of health foods, vitamins and supplements, sports nutrition and natural beauty products.

Customers will be able to experience a wide range of new wellness services with new consultation rooms in the store, offering personalised support as H&B look to help its customers be more proactive in managing their health.

Services include a selection of diagnostic tests as well as biometric testing and BMI analysis. Colleagues are qualified to give general weight management and nutrition advice. Sports and fitness enthusiasts will be able to benefit from nutrition advice as well as access to Les Mills subscriptions be on offer in the new look store.

“We have invested significantly to update our Irish stores and our Irish website and in enhanced training for Irish colleagues to help support our customers,” added Casey. “Our website and stores offer one of the largest ranges of natural health and wellness products and we’re actively looking to increase our range of products from Irish suppliers over the next 12 months.”

The Henry Street store also encompasses the latest trends in wellness store design creating a comfortable and easy shopping experience for customers. The fit materials are sustainably sourced and Holland & Barrett aims to make it as simple as possible to make natural, healthy and more sustainable choices across its range.
