Hannon’s SuperValu Ratoath Co. Meath has been crowned Best Medium SuperValu Store for 2025. 

The retailer surpassed intense competition from other finalists to secure the Best Medium Store Award at the 2025 SuperValu National Conference, which was held at the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney, Co. Kerry.

The team from Hannon’s SuperValu Ratoath received their prestigious award from SuperValu managing director Luke Hanlon and SuperValu sales director Dan Curtin and the award sponsor, Jean Francois Michel, account director of Three Ireland.

High standards

This award acknowledges the exceptional standards consistently achieved by the team at Hannon’s SuperValu Ratoath. 

In the face of formidable competition, the Meath store emerged victorious over other SuperValu stores across the Republic of Ireland.

SuperValu stores across the country were evaluated, undergoing thorough audits and assessments by Paul Ellison, independent judge and retail consultant, who highlighted that in a very competitive Irish retail market, SuperValu excels in delivering exceptional customer service, quality food leadership, community support and value. 

This creates a real sense of purpose for participating stores, with owners, managers, and colleagues fully supporting the competition.

The store audits concentrated on key categories including, fresh food offering, food leadership and quality, people management, sustainability initiatives, and community involvement, with Hannon’s SuperValu Ratoath achieving exceptional standards in each.
