Champion rowers Paul and Gary O’Donovan were at Bloom last Friday to launch the 2017 Bord Bia Quality Assured Eggs Campaign. The campaign encourages people to choose eggs as fuel for their busy lives, as eggs are an excellent natural source of protein, B and D vitamins, iron and more.

The brothers, who became a household name overnight after their won silver for Ireland at the Rio 2016 Olympics, also whipped up some delicious egg recipes at the Quality Kitchen Stage with Roz Purcell of Natural Born Feeder. The assembled audience was delighted and entertained by the duo, who are known for their straight-talking, self-deprecating nature.

Starting from Monday 19 June, the O’Donovan brothers will front a Bord Bia campaign promoting eggs at 300 outdoor sites across the country. This will coincide with a national radio campaign, highlighting the nutritional benefits and versatility of eggs for everyday meals.
