Celsius president highlights Irish growth momentum
Garrett Quigley welcomed the Celsius team to Dublin as the brand reports 98% Irish sales growth and rising market share
17 August 2026
Celsius president Garrett Quigley recently welcomed the team to Dublin ahead of the pre-season friendly between Arsenal and Real Betis at the Aviva Stadium, as the energy drink brand highlighted its growing momentum in Ireland and Great Britain.
The Dublin visit comes as Celsius continues to significantly outperform the wider energy drinks category in both markets, with the brand reporting 98% year-to-date sales growth in Ireland, compared with 13% growth for the overall category.
Brand progress
Quigley used the visit to highlight the brand’s progress with retailers and consumers, with growth being reflected across distribution, rate of sale and consumer awareness.
In Ireland, CELSIUS’ distribution has increased by 42% over the latest 13 weeks, while its unit rate of sale has risen by 98%.
The brand has also emerged as a significant contributor to overall energy drinks growth, generating approximately 7% of total year-to-date category growth in Ireland and ranking as the third-largest brand contributor.
Sugar-free is proving another particularly strong area for CELSIUS.
The brand delivered almost 188% growth in sugar-free sales over the latest four weeks, generating more than a quarter of total sugar-free sales growth.
The performance follows a clearer proposition for Irish consumers introduced in 2026, centred on fruit-forward functional energy and active, everyday lifestyles.
Earlier this year, Celsius transitioned from four Vibe flavours to four core fruit-forward flavours, alongside the launch of its global LIVE.FIT.GO. brand platform.
The platform is designed to connect Celsius with active, social and performance-led occasions, with further activity planned across Ireland and Great Britain from September.
Team CELSIUS ambassadors Declan Rice and Rhasidat Adeleke will support the next phase of the platform, while the brand is also expanding its presence across fitness and social occasions.
CELSIUS will become the Official Energy Drink of ATHX, with the partnership kicking off at the competition in Birmingham on 22–23 August.
The brand is also now a core beverage offering at Soul Padel locations in the UK.
Quigley’s Dublin visit comes as Celsius continues to build its international business, with the company expecting international markets to account for more than 15% of revenue over the next five years.
In the second quarter, international revenue reached approximately US$27.2 million, up 10%, while first-half international revenue stood at US$62.5 million, representing 32% growth.
Ireland is expected to remain an important growth market, with the country’s energy drinks category forecast to grow by 17% in 2026 to €259 million, before reaching an estimated €448 million by 2030.
For Celsius, the latest figures point to continued opportunities to build distribution, increase availability and strengthen its position within the rapidly growing sugar-free segment.
