Carte Noire has launched its first Wholebean Instant. New Carte Noire Instinct will be available from April. Carte Noire Instinct will be Kraft Foods’ second product in the new wholebean instant category and comes after outstanding success for Kenco Millicano, which already has a 4% share of the total coffee market after just five months. The Carte Noire brand already has a 28% share of the super premium segment showing YOY growth of 8.6% (Source: AC Nielsen MAT 29 Jan 12). The launch will help retailers to encourage customers to trade up to better quality, higher value coffee.
 
The launch of Carte Noire Instinct will be supported by heavyweight TV advertising, extensive press advertising, a strong PR campaign throughout the year and both in-store and experiential sampling campaigns to get consumers excited about the brand. Carte Noire Instinct will be available in a 100g tin and an 80g refill pack.
