Avonmore breaks records in December
Glanbia will be toasting desserts this week amid record sales over December

It is already one of Ireland’s most popular brands, but December just gone represented a milestone for Avonmore as it posted record sales for cream, showing a year-on-year increase of 24%.
The week before Christmas saw the highest-ever sales volume within a single say, while the month of December itself saw a massive 3.5 million pots of cream sold. “This year’s success has been driven by a range of factors that include new product innovations, improved packaging and strong marketing campaigns,” said Colin Gordon, Glanbia’s CEO. “As economic sentiment continues to improve, consumers are iuncreasinly looking for quality products which demonstrate real value. Our focus on delivering innovative products at competitive prices will ensure that Avonmore is well positioned for 2016 and beyond.”
Gordon added that the success in December was likely due in part to campaigns in partnership with celebrity chefs Catherine Fulvio and Neven Maguire, along with the dedicated cookwithavonmore.ie website and TV and print ad campaigns.
