Supermac’s set to spend €7m on Irish poultry in 2017

Supermac’s, the much-loved Irish fast food chain, has revealed that it is on track to spend upwards of €7m on Irish poultry this year. The spend represents a significant investment in the Irish sector by the Galway-based company. The news came as group managing director Pat McDonagh made the announcement at the Ploughing Championships.

“We expect this figure to continue to increase year-on-year as the popularity of our fresh chicken sandwich and fresh chicken tenders range continues to grow,” he said.

IFA president Joe Healy, who was (naturally) in attendance, took the opportunity to thank McDonagh and Supermac’s for their support of the Irish beef and poultry industries.
