Handprint Coffee, a new Irish environmentally friendly coffee brand and café has launched in Dublin at Freshii’s new outlet in Point Square beside the 3Arena. Handprint Coffee is a joint partnership between Bell Lane, Ireland’s leading craft specialist coffee roastery and Freshii Ireland’s master franchise owners Dave O’Donoghue and Cormac Manning.

Sourcing only sustainable coffee from the world’s best producers, Handprint roasts its coffee by hand and trains baristas at its ‘centre of excellence’.

Every cup of coffee is served in a fully compostable cup and packaging. Handprint also serves a range of  pastries, scones and tray bakes that are baked locally and delivered daily.

Stephen and Denise Bell and the team at Bell Lane have been roasting their own coffee under the Bell Lane brand name in Mullingar since 2012.  Through a first class roasting process and unique recipes which they believe “provide the optimum balance of acidity, body and flavour,” Bell Lane Coffee produces a range of award-winning coffee in Ireland.

Denise and Stephen weren’t content to just keep making great coffee at Bell Lane in Mullingar though. Instead they “wanted to have a new way of sourcing, roasting and serving coffee that can be equally great for people and our planet.

At the same time Freshii approached Bell Lane in search of a better coffee solution. According to Stephen Bell: “It was from this point that we decided to work together, but soon realised that the we needed to create a completely new brand. Bell Lane was well known and respected in wholesale business and we didn’t want to do anything to affect our relationships with existing customers so we went back to the drawing board and started a new project to create a new coffee franchise and so Handprint Coffee was born.”

“We are very excited to create and launch Handprint Coffee in Freshii outlets,” said Dave O’Donoghue, CEO, Freshii Ireland. “Handprint is coffee brand that leaves a better footprint, with transparency from bean to cup and we have fully compostable takeaways cups & lids.  Our coffee is hand roasted by our master roaster and all baristas are trained by hand, so they can hand deliver the ultimate coffee to guests with our handprint all over it while our confectionary range is locally supplied and baked fresh every morning.”
