Tetra Pak and Avonmore have joined together to launch the first ever Forest Stewardship Council (FSC ) certified milk cartons in Ireland.

FSC certification is one of the highest standards of forest certification and requires forests to be managed in a way that protects the environment, society, and the long-term economic future of forestry.

Tetra Pak cartons are made from wood, a natural, renewable resource. This certification is the latest move by the packaging firm in its continual commitment to ensuring the forests used are managed responsibly and that they make products with a great environmental story to tell.

Launched this month, Avonmore 1L milk cartons will feature the FSC label, lending extra green-credentials to supermarket shelves. The launch is being supported by a print, web and public relations campaign, entitled ‘See the wood for the trees!’ For more information visit www.tetrapaksustainaiblity.ie.
